Delete your Math Empire account and data
You can have your Math Empire account and everything saved with it deleted. You do not need to reinstall the app, and you do not need an account with us to ask.
Option 1 — ask us to delete it (works from this page)
Email privacy@mathempire.app with the subject Delete My Data, and tell us either:
- the Player Code shown in the game under Settings → Your Player Code (it looks like
SKY8234), or - the email address used to sign in, if the player signed in with Google.
A parent or guardian can send this for their child. We reply to confirm when it is done — within 30 days, and usually within a few days.
Option 2 — delete it inside the app
Open Math Empire and tap Settings → DELETE MY ACCOUNT & DATA. This removes the account record, saved progress, mastery data and any feedback sent from inside the game, straight away. See the note below about the few records this button does not reach yet.
What deletion removes
When you email us, we remove all of the following:
- The account record — the display name typed into the game, the Player Code, and the link to a Google sign-in if one was used.
- Saved progress — coins, buildings, streaks, grade level, and everything the game restores on a new device.
- Mastery data — which maths facts have been practised and how they are going.
- Feedback and bug reports sent from inside the game.
- Classroom membership, if the child joined a class with a teacher's code — including the name the teacher sees and the progress attached to it.
- Usage events — the anonymous records of things like "problem solved".
- Error diagnostics that carry the Player Code.
- The island adventure's separate save — the 3D Voyage keeps its own anonymous save, and it goes too.
- A newsletter sign-up, if an email address was ever entered on this website.
What the in-app button does and does not reach
Being straight with you, because it matters more than looking tidy: the Settings → DELETE MY ACCOUNT & DATA button removes the account record, saved progress, mastery data and feedback automatically. It does not yet remove, on its own, the usage events, the classroom membership record, the error diagnostics, or — on the version currently in the Play Store — the island adventure's separate save. We remove those by hand, and we are changing the app so the button reaches everything.
If you want everything gone, email us. That request is handled by a person and covers the whole list above.
What is kept, and why
- Crash reports are held by Google (Firebase Crashlytics), under Google's own policy. They record the device and the error, not the child's name, and we cannot delete them from here.
- Purchase records are held by Google Play. We never see or store card details. Purchases and refunds are handled by Google — see below.
- Anonymous totals stay in our statistics — for example how many problems were solved across the whole game. These cannot be traced back to any person.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that in Google Play first, or it keeps renewing. See Purchases and refunds.
Move progress to another device
Nothing is lost when a phone or tablet changes. In the game, open Settings → Your Player Code and write the code down. On the new device, enter that same code to bring the empire across. If the player signed in with Google, signing in again does the same thing.
Purchases and refunds
All purchases in Math Empire go through Google Play, so refunds are handled by Google, not by us. Open play.google.com/store/account, find the order and choose Report a problem. Subscriptions are cancelled in the same place, under Payments & subscriptions.
If Google turns down a refund and you think that is wrong, write to us and we will help where we can.
Something is broken, or a question about the maths
Email hello@mathempire.app. Telling us the device, the part of the game, and what happened gets an answer back faster. We read everything, including notes from children.
Privacy
What the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored is set out in the privacy policy. Privacy questions go to privacy@mathempire.app.
Math Empire has no chat and no messaging. Children cannot contact strangers in it, and strangers cannot contact them.
